A wedding in one of the most romantic countries in the world with two people we love and adore.  This will go down in history as one of the best memories in our lives. When we shoot destination weddings, we want to make sure we spend time with our couples and their families and friends before hand.  It’s like we become part of their family…Nat + Rob are a bit different. They are in fact, very good friends of ours so this part was easy. We met them and their friends and family for dinner in a small town called Ostuni, about 10 minutes from their villa.  We spent the evening catching up, enjoying great food and wine and hanging out on roof tops catching the memorable views of the small town. It was the perfect way to set the mood for the amazing experience we had for the next few days.

The wedding day was perfect.  Clear blue skys and a hot Italian summer day in the middle of July.  Everything took place at their Rustic Italian Villa in Puglia. The guys hung out by the pool while the girls got ready.  They shared their first look in front of the iconic Trulli, that is a staple clay home in Puglia. We drove off the villa to take their photos in the beautiful “white town” of Ostuni.  The ceremony was at sunset and it was the most mesmerizing sight as the sun fell behind the trees and they said their I DO’s. The rest of the night was definitely memorable, the food (especially the fresh Mozzarella) was to die for and they didn’t stop dancing until 3 or 4 in the morning.

There’s something about destination weddings.  It’s a different aura that surrounds the wedding day.  It’s a small, intimate group of your closest families and friends.  Everyone is on vacation and there is no other worry in the world and no place to be then there with you.  It’s full of emotion and uncontrollable happiness. We love them and we were so thankful to have celebrated this incredible wedding with such thoughtful, fun and caring people that we can call our friends.
